Kelly Therrien is a great choice for a divorce attorney. I worked with Kelly and her team through my recent divorce. Kelly was a recommendation from a family lawyer and she willingly took my case knowing that court would be outside of her travel area. From the very start her team was very responsive, responding to any questions I had quickly, and explained the process to me every step of the way. I would just like to thank Kelly and her staff, in a divorce that had the potential to get very nasty Kelly brilliantly ended my divorce checking almost every box for what I asked her for in our consultation. Kelly’s confidence in her abilities to understand the law and what your realistic expectations should be were absolutely on point. If you hire her you just need to listen to her and take her advice, she knows what she’s doing. The recommendation for Kelly actually came from a family friend who’s an extremely well known divorce attorney. Her exact words were “if you want the best you should hire Kelly, I dread anytime I have to go up against her in court.” Simply put hands down Kelly saved me in this divorce when my first attorney failed and my ex wife’s attorney steam rolled me before hiring Kelly. Honestly I can not say enough good things about this brilliant attorney and the overwhelming amount of calm her knowledge of the law and divorce will bring you in one of the most anxiety ridden times of your life. Another point I found to really like about Therrien laws office is the way Kelly hires her staff, any time I called and Kelly wasn’t available her knowledgeable paralegals never had a problem answering my questions and making sure they handled every concern I had. And this for me made Kelly’s business, I had to come last minute to fill out a ton of documents and had my German shepherd puppy with me. Not only did Kelly explain in detail every document and make corrections but literally played with my 90lb German shepherd pup and keep her busy while I was going over all the documents. This attorney goes above and beyond on the rest.

Every situation is vastly different, but here is my experience. If you are a genuinely good person and good father, Kelly will recognize this and fight for you. She will not set unrealistic expectations only to watch the narrative flip when the judgement comes. She will look at your scenario and give the best recommendations. From my experience, that does not mean that a client can sit back and expect her to do everything. As a client, it is your job to organize yourself and be your best advocate to her and that means putting in the leg work to be organized. My only critique is that I think TLL could benefit better from a CRM system or portal that provides constant updates/todo's/ or upcoming important dates. Most of communication is done by email which in my case created a couple hiccups. A portal for the client with organized dates/notes can prevent items getting dropped. I was on top of my case like white on rice, but in the heat of divorce and hundreds of emails, I can easily see men missing key dates or details which have adverse effects. I think a CRM system would also help TLL staff so they save time and workload. They work hard!!!!!! The staff is very supportive (Melissa and Jennifer). They clearly are a team and fight right alongside Kelly. I will highly recommend Kelly and she gave me confidence during a very hard time in my life. She had the same tenacity as a close family member would. Felt like I was going into court with a big Sister. It was the right choice.
